Terms of Service
Terms for using ReclaimDeposit
Effective: August 6, 2026
These terms form an agreement governing access to the ReclaimDeposit website, software, generated documents, and fulfillment services. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You may submit only information you are authorized to use. If you act for another person, you represent that you have their permission and the legal authority to do so.
2. What the service is
ReclaimDeposit is self-service software that provides general educational content, deadline calculations and document reviews based on information you provide, document generation, and optional print-mail fulfillment. Features and supported states may change.
ReclaimDeposit is not a law firm.
It does not provide legal advice, representation, an attorney-client relationship, or a judgment about how a court will decide your matter. Consult a licensed attorney for advice about your circumstances.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information.
- Review all calculations, citations, addresses, dates, amounts, and generated text before relying on, downloading, or sending it.
- Determine whether a document is suitable and whether professional advice is needed.
- Track and meet your own legal, contractual, and mailing deadlines.
- Keep passwords and private resume or purchase-access links confidential.
- Maintain your own copies of important records and generated documents.
4. Products, payment, and fulfillment
Free research: public tools, guides, and the informational case analysis can be used without purchasing a paid document.
Starter ($19 one time): provides a personalized demand-letter PDF for download and self-delivery.
Basic ($39 one time): includes the Starter PDF plus one USPS First-Class letter after you download, review, and explicitly approve it.
Basic is not Certified Mail and does not include Return Receipt or guaranteed end-to-end tracking. Mailing and delivery dates are estimates, postal delays can occur, and approval cannot be reversed after the mail provider accepts the job.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Taxes may apply where required. Prices and product details shown at checkout control for that transaction.
5. Refunds and payment problems
- Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of purchase.
- For Basic, a full refund is available within that window only if the included letter has not been submitted for mailing.
- After mailing is submitted, printing, postage, and fulfillment costs are non-refundable. A partial refund or service credit may be considered where appropriate.
- If payment succeeds but access fails, support may verify the Stripe transaction and restore the purchased document or provide an appropriate remedy.
- These terms do not limit non-waivable rights under applicable consumer law.
Request help through the support page. Do not initiate repeated checkouts for the same case while a successful charge is being investigated.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service; interfere with security or rate limits; probe or access another person's case, payment, mail job, account, or files; upload malware or unlawful content; use automated traffic without permission; impersonate another person; submit deceptive postal mail; infringe rights; or use the service in violation of law.
Access may be limited or terminated to protect users, providers, the service, or legal compliance. Material abuse may be reported to affected providers or authorities where appropriate.
7. Accounts and deletion
You are responsible for activity under your account and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized use. You can request account and application-data deletion, but some payment, fraud-prevention, dispute, backup, and legal records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property and feedback
The service's software, branding, original site content, and templates are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to payment and these terms, you may use a generated document for your personal rental matter. You do not receive ownership of the underlying software, template system, or third-party materials.
If you voluntarily provide product feedback, the service may use it without compensation, but this does not grant permission to publish your identity, case details, or personal documents.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” ReclaimDeposit disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, currentness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, delivery timing, and legal or financial outcome.
Laws, court practices, postal operations, and user circumstances change. A citation, calculator result, generated demand, or mailing record is not a guarantee that a landlord will pay or that a court will accept a position.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReclaimDeposit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost claims, deadlines, evidence, data, profits, or opportunities; or reliance on a calculation or document. Aggregate liability arising from a paid transaction will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected product during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limits, so those provisions apply only to the extent allowed. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Changes and general terms
The service and these terms may change. Updated terms will be posted with a new effective date; material changes may receive additional notice. Continuing to use the service after an update means the updated terms apply prospectively.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your agreement or paid entitlement without permission. Provider terms may also apply to payment, authentication, email, storage, analytics, abuse prevention, and mail fulfillment.
