You must be legally capable of forming a binding agreement to use this service. If you use ReclaimDeposit for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

2. Service Description

ReclaimDeposit provides document preparation and educational information about security deposit laws. ReclaimDeposit is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent users in court.

3. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and complete information.
• Review and approve all documents before download, email, or mailing.
• Use the service only for lawful purposes.
• Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
• Keep your account credentials secure and notify us of unauthorized use.

4. Payments, Billing, and Refunds

Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by third-party providers. Taxes, postage, and delivery fees may apply.

• Full refunds are available within 24 hours if your letter has not been submitted for mailing.
• After mailing is initiated, postage/printing/delivery costs are non-refundable.
• In some situations, we may provide a partial refund or credit at our discretion (for example, where delivery costs are already incurred).

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party providers (for example payment, storage, email, mail delivery, and analytics providers). Their systems and terms may apply to portions of the service outside our direct control.

6. Intellectual Property and License

ReclaimDeposit and its content, software, branding, and materials are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the service for your personal or internal business use in accordance with these Terms.

7. Prohibited Conduct

• Reverse engineering, scraping, or interfering with service operations.

• Submitting malicious code, fraudulent information, or abusive content.

Outcomes depend on facts, documentation, and local law. We do not guarantee any specific result, landlord response, or recovery amount.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReclaimDeposit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to ReclaimDeposit for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ReclaimDeposit harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, or misuse the service. You may stop using the service at any time.

13. Changes to Service or Terms

We may modify the service or these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where ReclaimDeposit is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law, disputes relating to these Terms or the service must be brought in courts with jurisdiction where ReclaimDeposit maintains its principal place of business.
